The solution is based on energy storage units installed at the source of energy generation and/or consumption with the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Each SCADA-integrated energy installation is synchronised with the VPP (Virtual Power Plant) platform, which allows for dynamic balancing of energy supply and demand and aggregation of data from many sources within the Diffused Energy clusters. The micro-services running on VPP platform continuously analyse data from integrated power plants and storage facilities, creating predictions for energy generation, energy consumption profile and predictions of the state of charge of the energy storage facility.

The VPP algorithms in the continuous machine learning process strive to minimise the amount of energy needed to be purchased from outside the cluster (from the market exchange).

Diffused Energy provides data analytics tools and apps that generate AI-powered recommendations on the optimised configurations of power plants and energy storage facilities based on the ML-trained consumption profiles of system users.

The use of CUDA-accelerated industrial edge computers (installed in the electrical switchboard cabinet) allows for the transfer of computing power directly to the data source, which not only leads to the optimization of ICT infrastructure maintenance costs, but also enables the launch of a localized autonomous service for correcting the prediction of energy production, consumption and storage.


A precise, corrected in the "last minute" prediction of the amount of energy stored, aggregated and available for a given hour on the power capacity market allows us to reduce the risk associated with energy trading on the Power Exchange Markets.
